Here are the winners for our Goblins word-find contest! We asked our fans how many words they could make out of the letters G-O-B-L-I-N and S, and they responded in droves!
Most entrants only listed a handful of words, knowing that Goblin fan apathy might make them default winners, but we surprisingly receiveved a number of legit entries. After utilizing a complex judging system that involves no word disqualifications (entrants were awarded points for creativity if their words sounded real) and bonuses for various reasons, we decided to give prizes to anyone who ended up with at least 20 points.
Note: Please do not appeal the judges' decisions, and do not inform us if words don't actually exist. The only reference books the Goblins own are a rhyming dictionary and that book that tells you how many minutes to fast forward a video to see a naked chick (Buh owns that one.) Thanks for playing...you're all winners.
ROBERT E. CLARK
THE GRAND WINNER! Total: too many words to count, though it looks like about 400! Even if you discount every hinky, cheating, sneaky maneuver (he uses every one but then nobly notes which words are made, up, proper nouns, foreign or use repeat letters) it’s still about 100 words! Plus 1 bonus point for most desperate essay, plus 3 points for finding the best word of them all 'Bison,' plus 4 points for alphabetizing, giving Robert a total of 408+! Congratulations to you, and whatever computer program you specifically designed to win Goblins word scramble contests, your PRIZE is on its way!
ROBERT'S ENTRY:
I'm dying to win this contest! So here's my list. It wasn't clear to me whether it was permitted to use repeat letters, or whether things like proper names were allowed, so I've arranged my list to try to allow the judges to sort all that out, if need be. I also include, for extra-extra credit, a handful of foreign words as well. (I'm just hoping that you don't subtract points for overkill.)
(Words with NO REPEATS are marked with an asterisk (*).)
(Words and their plurals are grouped together for convenience's sake.)

JEFF ZIMMERMAN
Jeff has a respectable 67 entries, but double that for Jeff’s absurd notion to list definitions for each one, plus 5 humiliation points for admitting he watches “Ally McBeal” minus two record collector points for mentioning Gon, Bis and Peter Gabriel, then those two points are restored for referencing AC/DC, plus 5 self-promotion points for listing his band’s bio as the definition for “Bio.” Good enough for us to award a 1st Place Prize equal in grandness to the Grand Prize!

ERIC OTTENS
Third Place goes to the Ott Man! 70 words, plus a 10 point bonus for taking things to the next level by using words that LOOK like you can make them out of G-O-B-L-I-N-S, but you actually can’t (like “Bombing,” “Noggin,” “GG” [always give credit for scatalogical punk rock references] and the mighty “Boob”) plus 2 points for “Losing,” the second best word, as it is so ironic in the face of what WINNERS all Goblins fans are!
